About The Position

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer 3 to join our dynamic team. This role involves leading and mentoring UI/front-end developers, architecting and implementing scalable front-end solutions, and collaborating with backend engineers. You will translate design specifications into functional interfaces, contribute to full-stack development, and ensure adherence to coding standards and accessibility requirements. Requirements

• Proven experience leading or mentoring a development team
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Full-stack experience, including backend development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, RESTful/GraphQL API design)
• Experience with state management, component-based architecture, and responsive design
• Familiarity with version control (Git)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GovCloud is a plus)
• Experience working closely with UX/UI and systems engineers to ensure accurate implementation of accessible interfaces
• Experience working with tiered architectural systems
• Experience working in a Linux/Ubuntu environment is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of UI/front-end developers, providing technical guidance, standards, and code review
• Architect and implement scalable, maintainable front-end solutions using modern frameworks
• Translate prototypes and design specifications into functional, responsive, and accessible interfaces
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs, ensuring efficient data flow between front-end and back-end systems
• Contribute to full-stack development efforts as needed, including backend services, database interactions, and deployment pipelines
• Establish and enforce front-end coding standards, best practices, and component reuse across the team
• Partner with UX/UI and systems engineers to ensure design intent is preserved through implementation
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, cross-browser issues, and technical debt
• Participate in sprint planning, technical estimation, and architectural decision-making
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG) throughout development
