About The Position
PayPal, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 2 in Scottsdale, AZ. This role involves delivering new software features, enhancements, and bug fixes for Java REST services, JMS daemons, and batch jobs. The engineer will design, develop, test, and release software using Java in a Linux/Unix environment. Responsibilities include participating in software code reviews to ensure code quality and shared knowledge, collaborating with other teams across Credit for effective delivery, and writing large-scale, highly available, and distributed software systems. Experience developing automated unit, integration, and functional test suites is essential. The role requires close collaboration with PayPal’s Product team in an agile environment to bring software features from conception to launch. Partial telecommuting is permitted within a commutable distance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
