About The Position

Prodigy One, LLC. is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems. This role involves working on processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems based on documented requirements. The engineer will work individually or as part of a team, reviewing and testing software components for adherence to design requirements, documenting test results, and resolving software problem reports. They will utilize appropriate software development and design methodologies, and provide input to software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, COTS/GOTS utilization, and requirements analysis. A TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • Experience gathering user needs, requirements, and feedback; creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user stories; and translating them into clean, reusable, and scalable frontend code.
  • Strong experience developing and maintaining scalable server-side applications and microservices using the Node.js runtime and the Express.js framework.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and consume well-structured, secure, and documented RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency with the GitLab platform for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and project management.
  • Knowledge of Section 508/WCAG accessibility standards and implementation.
  • Knowledge of Javascript frameworks (React), REST, containers (docker) and orchestration such as Kubernetes (CK8S and Helm).
  • Proven ability to work independently on a small team, taking ownership of tasks, managing development timelines, and proactively solving problems with minimal supervision.

  • Fourteen years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience designing and implementing high-performance web-based graph visualization interfaces capable of rendering and interacting with large-scale datasets (thousands of nodes and edges) while maintaining responsiveness and usability.
  • Strong UI development skills using ReactJS and experience with automated javascript test frameworks (eslint and jest).

Nice To Haves
