About The Position

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer with strong Java experience. This role focuses on knowledge management and data curation, with responsibilities that include performing ETL (extract, transform, and load) processes on enterprise-wide data. The position is part of a collaborative, well established team and offers the chance to build expertise in GhostMachine Portable Map Reduce analytics—a valuable opportunity for professional development. This team has recently started leveraging Claude Code AI to expedite development and engineering tasks.

Requirements

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Java/Spring Framework/Spring Boot are the key skills needed to be successful in this role.
• GhostMachine Analytic experience.
• Portable Map Reduce (PMR) framework.
• Familiarity with AVP process and represent to AVG.
• NiFi and Notifier experience.
• Atlassian tool suite.
• Gitlab.
