Software Engineer 1
About The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer 1 with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an expert-level command of at least one major programming language (Python, C, or C++) and a proven track record developing for both Windows and UNIX environments. This role involves full-lifecycle development, including designing, coding, debugging applications, managing large-scale datasets, implementing advanced algorithms, and performing system optimization. You will also be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test procedures and integrating DevOps practices. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, though equivalent professional experience may be considered. An active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph security clearance and U.S. citizenship are mandatory for this position.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in software engineering within programs of similar scope and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent professional experience may be considered).
- Expert-level command of at least one major language: Python, C, or C++.
- Proven track record developing for both Windows and UNIX environments, including shell scripting and automation.

- Ability to deliver high-quality code under strict resource and performance constraints.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, and debug applications while articulating the underlying methodologies to stakeholders.
- Manage large-scale datasets, implement advanced algorithms, and perform deep-level system optimization.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test procedures, including Unit, Integration, and Regression testing.
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, or Bamboo).
