In this role, you will work hands on across both Salesforce development and platform administration. Most days involve building and enhancing Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, and OmniStudio tools such as FlexCards, OmniScripts, DataRaptors, and Integration Procedures. You’ll regularly use VS Code with Salesforce extensions and follow established coding standards, performing peer code reviews to ensure quality. A significant part of the job includes designing technical solutions from business requirements, maintaining integrations with external systems (such as MuleSoft), and supporting production issues by troubleshooting and resolving defects. You’ll be responsible for unit testing, system testing coordination, debugging, and helping users through acceptance testing. ServiceNow will be used to manage incidents, document activity, and track remediation. You’ll also follow DevOps best practices including CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, deployment automation, and release management. Staying current with Salesforce releases and applying new features will be an ongoing expectation. On the administrative side, tasks include managing platform configurations, maintaining users and security settings, updating roles and permission sets, and performing sandbox refreshes as needed. The work is a blend of development, problem-solving, platform maintenance, and collaboration. You can expect shifting priorities, technical complexity, and a steady balance between new feature development and production support.
