Chewy is hiring a Software Development Manager to lead one of our WMS fulfillment execution system teams, which is responsible for features and services that support customer transaction flow within the Chewy’s e-commerce ecosystem. You will help to mature and extend our existing systems, while at the same time introducing systems that will enable Chewy to scale into the future. This entails innovating processes, reporting, and aligning development strategies to support Chewy’s explosive growth. Requirements

  • Demonstrated history of implementing and managing significant software development projects
  • 7+ years of experience in Software Development as a software engineer
  • 2+ years of experience in Engineering Management
  • Fluency in SQL development and 1 or more programming languages
  • Proven delivery experience working under an Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Proven experience in delivery end to end scalable solutions
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in e-commerce software systems
  • Experience in WMS technology
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with HighJump Software/Koerber Supply Chain Software

Responsibilities

  • Manage/Lead a team of software engineers in the development, testing and deployment of our platform, facilitate agile process and remove impediments
  • Partner with our recruiting team to continue to build your team and mentor the growth of the existing team
  • Drive technical decisions and work with your partner TPM to plan, track, and deliver software projects
  • Establish strong working relationships at all organizational levels and cross-functional teams
  • Review architecture, design, and implementations, and provide feedback to individual contributors
  • Identify and manage priorities within the context of overall corporate objectives
  • Work with others in Engineering Management to drive best practices in software development, testing, and production deployment
