About The Position

This role is for an innovative and accomplished professional seeking a highly visible role with significant impact to Selling Partners. The candidate will be comfortable presenting ideas to Amazon’s senior leaders. Selling Partners depend on robust and scalable AI-powered solutions to help them make faster, data-driven decisions and automate complex workflows to grow their business. This position will lead the technical strategy and execution for the agentic experiences team for Selling Partners. The role involves scoping complex projects, delivering simple elegant solutions, driving the development schedule from design to release, building innovative GenAI powered agentic solutions to accelerate delivery, and making appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market. The solutions will help achieve the vision of world-class AI-powered experiences. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to execute strategically and tactically to turn ambiguous users and business needs into successful products. They can communicate effectively with senior leaders and have the ability to earn trust and influence partner teams. This is a unique opportunity to be a founding leader for a high impact area.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
