Software Development Internship - Summer 2027
About The Position
The internship program aims to offer a positive work/training experience aligned with career goals and education level. Interns will be part of the Software Development team, gaining hands-on experience in office and field settings and actively contributing to client projects. The program emphasizes real-world industry exposure, including visits to project sites and internal training opportunities, fostering a unique learning experience and encouraging participation in company events. The Summer Internship lasts 10-12 weeks, starting in June and ending in August - September, depending on the candidate's availability.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Software Development.
- Trained to utilize CAD/BIM standards
- Ability to work effectively in a highly energetic and multiple-engagement environment, dedication to teamwork, a strong work initiative, and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas; detail-oriented
- Candidates must have current work authorization in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Nice To Haves
- Training in Revit and/or AutoCAD is a plus
- FE/EIT is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist the engineering team in the execution of ongoing projects.
- Conduct research and analysis to contribute to project development.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
- Contribute to the design process working directly with the team.
- Participate in prototyping activities to test and validate design concepts.
- Assist in conducting tests to ensure the functionality and reliability of engineering solutions.
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to identify and address potential issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
- Generate reports and summaries to communicate project progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Participate in team meetings, providing valuable insights and feedback.
- Engage in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills.
- Seek opportunities for continuous learning and development within the engineering field.
