This internship is for students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields to join our Software Development team. As an intern, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects that contribute to the development of next-generation optical transport systems. You’ll gain exposure to modern software practices, embedded Linux development, and collaborative engineering workflows.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, CE, EE, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with C/C++ programming, especially in systems or embedded contexts.
  • Experience working with or learning Linux-based development environments.
  • Exposure to version control systems like Git and basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Interest in networking technologies and embedded systems.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Rust is a plus.
  • Academic projects or coursework related to networking, embedded systems, or telecommunications.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Interest in areas such as network telemetry, AI/ML for network optimization, or open source contributions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of software components for optical networking platforms.
  • Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and agile development ceremonies.
  • Support debugging and troubleshooting efforts across software and hardware interfaces.
  • Contribute to documentation and automation tasks to improve development workflows.
  • Learn and apply best practices in embedded systems and network software development.
