Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field
2 years in any job title involving IT software development experience.
2 years developing in IBM Z/OS mainframes
2 years developing with COBOL, VSAM, CICS, TCPIP, DB2, JCL, and Batch
2 years working in the software development processes including requirement analysis, designs, coding, testing, and deployment production support
1 year using Jira for tracking application projects.

Responsibilities

Perform software development including all phases of the software development lifecycle from analysis to code deployment.
Perform analysis of business needs and project requirements.
Define the application architecture and system process flows.
Attend, present, and prepare design documents.
Perform coding changes to applications to deliver functionality.
Create test plans and test cases as well as perform all testing phases.
Perform research on application-related issues and report to application owners and application management.
Perform application fixes and testing for deployment.
Conduct long-term improvements for the applications to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements and to reduce application maintenance costs.
Perform analysis on new requirements, provide estimates, and help application manager with project slotting.
Present ideas to Product and IT management for application performance improvements and innovations to gain efficiency, reduce costs and increase revenue.
Perform on-call production support.
