About The Position

This role is for a Software Development Engineer within the Amazon Advertising vertical ad products team. This is a startup team focused on building new, state-of-the-art products at internet scale, with a vision to simplify full funnel advertising solutions using specialized agentic AI-powered models. The team aims to diversify demand to strategic verticals like finserv, autos, and locals. The engineer will help evolve the tools, services, and frameworks provided by the team, requiring a strong coding background, proven experience applying technologies at scale, and a willingness to challenge the status quo.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Own, build, develop, and lead the technical components of a business-critical initiative to design, develop, launch, and maintain advertising solution(s) and service(s) that enable advertisers with simplified AI-powered advertising offerings.
• Work closely with a Principal Engineer and Scientists on the technical strategy of engineering and science teams.
