About The Position

This role is for a Software Development Engineer within the Amazon Ads Nova team, focusing on building new, state-of-the-art products at internet scale. The team is innovating in vertical ad products, aiming to simplify full-funnel advertising solutions using specialized agentic AI-powered models and diversifying demand to strategic verticals. The engineer will help evolve the tools, services, and frameworks provided by the team, bringing a strong coding background, experience with large-scale technologies, and a drive to challenge the status quo.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Own, build, develop and lead the technical strategy of a business critical initiative to design, develop, launch and maintain advertising solution(s) and service(s) that enables advertisers with simplified AI-powered advertising offerings.
• Lead the technical strategy of engineering and science teams by working closely with Sr and Principal Engineers and Scientists.
• Operate autonomously, identify solutions to ambiguous problems, and deliver solutions from end-to-end.
