Work alongside other engineering teams to improve the features and quality of the Metal framework and adjacent tools. Collaborate with other engineers on the production of presentations and demos for Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference and other events. Write sample code and provide it to 3rd party developers to guide performance optimization and improve quality. Host 3rd party developers onsite to provide guidance and instruction on optimizing memory, GPU and CPU performance using the Metal framework and adjacent tools. Evaluate 3rd party software and prepare performance, quality and feature analysis of the software to deliver to 3rd party developers. Implement prototype plug-ins and abstractions for 3rd party game engines to provide additional feature support for Apple specific features to guide 3rd party game developers. 40 hours/week.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Utilizing the C, C++, and ObjC language family to resolve issues in codebase.
  • Utilizing 3D graphics API including DirectX, OpenGL, Vulkan or Metal for 3D Rendering for API Tools support.
  • Utilizing Python for high level code processing duties (including test generation, code pre-processing, parsers of any kind).
  • Designing and implementing new rendering solutions within an established Graphic engine.
  • Designing and implementing visualizations of GPU data (including 3D or Computer).
  • Optimizing C, C++ CPU code to perform at required guidelines.
  • Optimizing GPU Code (via any API) to perform at required guidelines.
  • Utilizing GIT for source code management.
