About The Position

Restaurant Brands International Inc. (RBI) is seeking a Software Development Engineer III to join their Burger King team. RBI is one of the world's largest quick service restaurant companies, owning iconic brands like Burger King, Tim Hortons, Popeyes, and Firehouse Subs. The company is focused on digital transformation, building a React and Node stack to support an ordering platform across its brands. This role involves solving technically interesting problems to create engaging user experiences and seamlessly integrate physical and digital experiences for customers. RBI emphasizes collaboration and follows a 5-day in-office work schedule at their Miami, FL office.

Requirements

5+ years of IT experience working on real-life, consumer facing products and services
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and relevant frameworks, React preferred
Experience with CSS, CSS pre-processors (SCSS/LESS), and/or CSS-in-JS (Styled Components)
Experience using modern JavaScript/TypeScript build and packaging systems
Experience with Node and relevant frameworks, NestJS and/or Express preferred
Familiarity with serverless technology like AWS Lambda or other cloud offerings
Experience with both functional and object-oriented programming patterns
Knowledge of both relational and non-relational database systems and their tradeoffs in practice
Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science/related fields or relevant industry experience

Nice To Haves

Experience with Component Libraries like MUI
Experience with React-Native and/or mobile development
Knowledge of analytics databases and data pipelines (OLAP, ETLs)
Experience with data visualization, preferably in React (Recharts, D3, Victory, etc.)
