Requirements
- Strong understanding of database theory and experience with relational or non-relational data stores
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Obsession with quality and customer experience
- Ability to think abstractly while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for architecting and developing large-scale distributed technology solutions
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Nice To Haves
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Technology, Science, Operations Research, Robotics, Mathematics or related fields, or a Doctorate/PhD or equivalent and experience working for Amazon or any Amazon subsidiary or affiliate
Responsibilities
- Design and develop highly available, scalable distributed systems
- Optimize complex logistics networks to maximize shipment efficiency and minimize costs
- Create innovative solutions for international commerce and customs constraints
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve customer delivery options
- Contribute to the architecture and direction of import and export logistics technology
