About The Position

The Amazon Robotics Pick Automation is responsible for all systems, and metrics to enhance services required for supporting Amazon Robotics (AR) work scheduling in Pick space. It provides a framework to manage, sustain and execute the work units for individual stations in AR and pickers in Non-AR FCs. Join Amazon Robotics Pick Automation, an AFT Software, and be part of developing large-scale, distributed systems which optimize the fulfillment of customer orders. Interface with the physical world including conveyors & robots, and most importantly your systems will be used by thousands of associates to delight millions of customers. We are looking for Software Development Engineers who will be responsible for Design, development, delivery and support of large-scale, multi-tiered, Software applications and tools.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Creating and delivering software and automated solutions to enable products that are used in Amazon fulfillment and distribution centres.
  • Owning, designing, and developing large-scale software services and data management systems.
  • Influencing subsystem design and helping build a team culture around practices that are critical to a quality product.
