Develop, maintain, and scale automation infrastructure on premise and/or on cloud-based technologies. Design and develop automation test suites for applications. Write test plans, test scenarios and test cases for applications. Design and develop tools to facilitate automation and performance tests. Develop performance tests suites and executing the same. Design and develop reporting tool for automation and performance tests. Review implementation and certify software before being promoted to production. Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to review system and workflow requirements and design. Work, lead, and coordinate with onsite and offshore teams to facilitate test automation. Design and develop the testing infrastructure i.e. tools, frameworks, reporting mechanisms to test software and services. Integrate the test suites and infrastructure with the CI/CD systems to ensure all the tools and services developed meet the quality goals. Write different types of tests namely unit, integration, smoke, performance tests for existing and new projects to ensure a bug free and high-quality software is delivered to customers. Familiarize with new testing tools and strategies and evaluate the technologies to incorporate into the projects. Work collaboratively with other manual and automation team members to develop effective testing strategies as well as quality metrics for new and existing features.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Building automation tools and frameworks for testing web services such as REST and gRPC.
  • Performing Web and UI automation using Selenium or Appium or Playwright.
  • Working in Java programming (JDK 11 or newer) with experience in scripting using Python and Shell.
  • Analyzing test results and providing actionable feedback to improve software quality.
  • Documenting test plans, authoring and executing test cases, and adeptly discerning the automation scope in alignment with product design and implementation.
  • Investigating, debugging and triaging difficult problems both independently and cooperatively.
  • Utilizing performance testing tools such as JMeter and Gatling.
  • Testing data pipelines and messaging platforms like Kafka.
  • Writing complex SQL queries, with experience in one relational and one non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
  • Working with cloud platforms, notably AWS (with AWS SDK) and/or GCP.
  • Web development and using application frameworks including Spring, and developing efficient, lightweight web-services.
  • Working with DevOps and CI/CD processes and utilizing tools including Jenkins or Github.
