About The Position

Louisiana Technology Group (LATG) is seeking a Software Developer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications in a secure federal environment. The selected candidate will work closely with software developers, system administrators, and end users to implement application improvements, troubleshoot technical issues, support software releases, and maintain technical documentation. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise applications while expanding technical and professional skills. The developer will work with a team of developers and IT professionals to maintain and enhance applications used across a large organization, helping ensure they remain reliable, secure, and responsive to customer needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of software development or programming experience.
Familiarity with software development principles and programming concepts.
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Ability to obtain and maintain all customer-required access, background investigation, and security requirements.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
Experience supporting web-based applications.
Familiarity with source code management tools such as Git.
Familiarity with software testing and quality assurance practices.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Familiarity with automated build, deployment, or CI/CD processes.
Possession of a cybersecurity certification meeting DoD Cyber Workforce (IAT Level II) requirements. Examples include CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, ISC2 SSCP, GIAC GSEC, GIAC GICSP, EC-Council Certified Network Defender (CND), or another DoD-approved certification meeting IAT Level II requirements.
