About The Position

Loop is seeking exceptional Software Developers to join their engineering team. This role involves building the technology that powers modern global banking, working across the entire stack. Developers will contribute to customer-facing features, scalable backend services, API design, integrations with banks and payment partners, and solving complex engineering challenges. Depending on experience, contributions can range from shipping customer-facing features to designing critical platform architecture. The role emphasizes ownership from idea to production and collaboration within a small, highly capable engineering team.

Requirements

Experience building production web applications across.
Strong software engineering fundamentals and a passion for building with ai tooling.
Experience with ai stack and different languages application
Experience building backend services, APIs, and working with relational databases.
An understanding of scalability, security, performance, and reliability in production systems.
The ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate your thinking clearly.
A collaborative mindset and a willingness to both teach and learn from others.
Curiosity, ownership, and the drive to continuously improve.

Nice To Haves

Experience building FinTech, banking, payments, lending or financial services products.
Experience with distributed systems and highly available architectures.
Familiarity with secure coding practices and financial compliance requirements.
Knowledge of accounting concepts or financial reporting.
Experience with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL and React (although we're happy to meet great engineers who learn quickly).

Responsibilities

Design, build, test and deploy features across the full stack—from customer-facing interfaces in React to backend services and APIs powering our banking platform.
Develop secure, scalable systems that power cross-border payments, banking infrastructure, ledgers, and integrations with financial partners.
Create intuitive, fast and accessible user experiences while continuously refining workflows and improving usability across our platform.
Develop APIs and services that maintain strong consistency, high availability and performance while handling complex financial transaction flows.
Write automated tests, improve monitoring and observability, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously improve the stability and resilience of our platform.
Partner closely with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to turn ideas into well-designed technical solutions that balance customer needs with long-term maintainability.
Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews and architectural decisions.
Share knowledge with teammates, provide thoughtful code reviews, stay current with new technologies, and continually improve both yourself and the engineering team.
