About The Position

We are seeking a Software Developer- Mid to join our team supporting the FBI’s Operational Technology Division. Designs, develops, and maintains mission-critical applications that process, analyze, and present large-scale multimedia and digital evidence. Supports integrated, open architecture platforms that enable data intake, forensic processing, and collaboration across law enforcement partners. Builds full stack solutions that handle high-volume data ingestion, real-time analytics, and concurrent user access at scale. Ensures applications remain secure, reliable, and compliant with federal cybersecurity requirements while integrating with enterprise systems and shared services. This contract supports a government agency's capability to ingest, process, and analyze massive volumes of digital evidence into actionable intelligence. The program drives full lifecycle development, from building scalable applications and forensic tools to integrating enterprise services and maintaining hybrid cloud and classified infrastructure. The work ensures users can securely access, review, and collaborate on evidence in real time. This strengthens national security and investigative outcomes by combining advanced analytics, cloud technologies, and Agile delivery to give investigators faster, more reliable insight into complex digital evidence. Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information access required.
  • 2-5 years of software development experience.
  • Experience developing full stack applications using modern programming languages and frameworks
  • Experience working in Agile development environments

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and Vue.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL) and SQL query development.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows (pull requests, branching strategies).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and deploying applications in cloud environments.
  • Understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and message queue systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in agile teams.
  • Experience in government or DoD software development environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, code review, testing, and deployment.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs and web services, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange between systems.
  • Collaborate with QA engineers to develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and support automated testing efforts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in development and production environments.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to technical design discussions, architectural decisions, and code review processes.
  • Integrate applications with databases (SQL and NoSQL), messaging systems, and third-party services.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for application build, test, and deployment automation.
  • Document technical designs, implementation details, and operational procedures.
