Software Developer
About The Position
The Software Developer (Java Backend) with DevOps will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems. The role involves building and optimizing cloud-native applications on AWS, supporting CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning and deployments, and improving reliability, observability, scalability, and performance. The developer will troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, participate in architecture and design discussions and code reviews, and collaborate with product, infrastructure, SRE, security, and other stakeholder teams. The role also contributes to engineering best practices and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong programming expertise in Java (preferred), Python, Go, or JavaScript.
- Extensive experience developing backend applications and RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
- Experience building distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Strong experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
- Experience deploying and managing applications using Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodeDeploy, ArgoCD, or similar platforms.
- Infrastructure automation experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven architectures.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of secure coding principles and application security practices.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Service Mesh experience, such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Previous experience with Apple or other leading product-based organizations.
- Experience supporting large-scale internet-facing applications.

Responsibilities
