About The Position

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Software Developer with a desire to grow while working with a skilled and highly motivated team on leading-edge work. Our team provides IT services for systems engineering and information management systems to multiple major DoD programs. This position supports an established contract developing mission-critical operations. Our customer’s framework continues to evolve. Evaluating, learning, and integrating new technologies will be a constant factor in this position. The responsibilities of this role include: Serve as part of a scrum team, Actively participate in Agile ceremonies Develop high-quality software design and architecture Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code Peer test application updates Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting Review and debug code Perform validation and verification testing Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products Document development phases and monitor systems Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies Work in Windows, Unix, and Linux environments Work in a SCIF environment

Requirements

• Five (5) years of professional technical experience in the form of employment history
• Experience and strong desire to invent new ways of approaching problems and developing innovative applications
• Ability to communicate ideas to coders, teammates, and management
• Experience working as part of a team of developers, coders, testers, and CM specialists
• U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a secret security clearance
• Clearance Level - Final Position Requirement Active Secret
• Work in a SCIF environment
• Work in Windows, Unix, and Linux environments
• CompTIA Security+, equivalent or higher (such as CISSP), or willingness to obtain within 90 days of the start date
• The successful candidate will have (at least) 2 years of experience in ONE of the following: C/C++ C# .NET Java Python Amazon Web Services PHP Data Science (with coding experience) Experience with WPF libraries, data access libraries (such as MVC)

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the military/DoD is a bonus, but not required
• Experience using an Agile development approach is beneficial
• Familiarity with geospatial web-based map development is a bonus, but not required
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, (High School Diploma or Associates Degree acceptable for well-experienced candidates)
