About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking an experienced full-stack developer to develop software and systems from initial vision through production-ready implementation in a fast, agile environment. The role involves more than coding: the developer will learn and apply new tools and techniques, identify system improvements, and help clients address challenging problems using current architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. Solutions should account for the existing architecture and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancements. The position is located in Fort Meade, Maryland, and is not listed as remote.

Requirements

• Experience in software development with programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks, including Java and JavaScript in a Linux environment.
• Experience writing source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications.
• Experience using back-end and front-end languages to develop complete solutions.
• Experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods.
• Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 7 or more years of software engineering experience in a Linux environment, or 11 or more years of software engineering experience in a Linux environment in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Java libraries and technologies, including MongoDB, Spring, and OSGi.
• Experience with Perl, Python, Lua, and NGINX.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, team-oriented environment and balance long- and short-term taskings.
