About The Position

The Migration Conversion Team is looking for a Software Developer (Emerging Careers) to help move SAS9 objects over to Viya 4. This role involves working on a UI/UX and a conversion service that is continually updated as objects are moved to the target application UI. This work is critical for migrating customers from the older SAS-9 system to Viya4 (cloud). The position offers flexibility and a dynamic, fulfilling career with a world-class employee experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
2-5 years of demonstratable programming experience as a software developer
Prior experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, Typescript, React or Go
Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Demonstrated proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, Go, Rest APIs, and Groovy,
Proficient with source control management techniques (Git, GitHub) including branching, code review, and merging.

Develop and support robust quality engineering solutions at every layer of the software development life cycle.

Create and maintain the highest quality of Rest APIs, using modern development techniques, and provide key data points to support metrics-based decision making.

Produce key data that illustrates the quality of applications and develops insight that drive the direction of quality engineering.
Work with your team to promptly triage test failures with precision and accuracy, maintaining the health of the build pipeline.
Work collaboratively with development, product, operations, and support peers to encourage quality.
Challenge the status quo every day and never stop improving quality engineering practices.
Be encouraged to participate in open-source projects on behalf of SAS.
