Building enterprise products With AI agents that move beyond thinking to doing, owning, and automating workflows is shifting enterprise work from human-centric processes to agentic, outcome-driven execution. Our team is a part of this shift, building a way that connects next- generation AI agents to users. We are responsible for the cloud-based "last-mile" integrations that power seamless, intelligent conversations across all chat and voice surfaces. This is where the power of generative AI directly meets the customer, and we are responsible for making that experience reliable, scalable, and intelligent. In this role, you will contribute to the first-party development of our core integration platforms. You will help define the future of customer interaction, being part of a team managing applied AI in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The Cloud Applied AI (AAI) powers business growth with Gemini Enterprise. Our portfolio includes Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience (Shopping Agent, CX Agent Studio, Agent Assist, Vertex AI Search - Commerce, Customer Experience Insights), along with other vertical and domain packaged solutions. We enable high adoption and speed to value by building solutions that are quickly deployed, delivering new 0-to-1 capabilities with startup agility. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience with generative AI, large language models (LLMs), or conversational AI systems in the development of AI agents or agentic frameworks.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience building or integrating with communication systems (e.g., telephony, WebRTC, chat) and AI agents.
  • Experience contributing to complex, cross- functional projects.
  • Experience building highly available, low-latency, and scalable distributed systems for real-time communication.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end development of our cloud-based communication systems integrations for AI agents.
  • Define and deliver the technical designs for integrating our AI agents into a unique ecosystem of first-party and third-party chat and voice surfaces.
  • Grow in an action-oriented and agile environment to accelerate development and execution in a rapidly evolving domain.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, UX, and AI research teams to define requirements and deliver an excellent, AI-powered customer support experience.
  • Apply your domain expertise in telephony, chat, or generative AI to guide product direction and navigate complex technical trade-offs.
