About The Position

The Software Developer (WSCE-JSE)-Senior develops and maintains advanced software solutions for modeling and simulation environments supporting training, testing, data analysis, and research activities. The role designs, develops, integrates, and enhances real-time simulation software using C, C++, and Python, while supporting DevOps workflows, distributed architectures, and network communications. Responsibilities include software integration, customer support, system demonstrations, performance optimization, code reviews, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver scalable simulation capabilities. The position also develops multi-threaded applications, real-time communication interfaces, and future software enhancements while working within Agile and CI/CD development environments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
10+ years of software development experience.
Strong experience with C/C++, Python, CMake, Git, Linux, and DevOps workflows.
Experience with distributed architectures, networking, parallel processing, and simulation systems.
Knowledge of CI/CD, Agile development, and cross-platform software development.
Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop software for advanced real-time modeling and simulation environments.
Integrate software into simulator platforms and support testing and demonstrations.
Design and develop applications using C, C++, and Python.
Develop multi-threaded, parallel processing, and distributed software systems.
Build service-oriented architectures and real-time network communication interfaces.
Review, test, debug, and optimize software performance.
Work within DevOps environments using CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design future enhancements.
Support software deployment across Linux and Windows environments.
Maintain documentation and follow software engineering best practices.
