About The Position

Datagrate is an IT consulting company with the character of a start-up based in St. Petersburg, Florida. We are a young and motivated team of engineers implementing customized IT software solutions for clients like US Cellular, American Homes 4 Rent, General Electric and many others. Enthusiasm for new technology and passion for promoting the digital transformation to our customers is what unites and motivates us.

Requirements

  • You become an expert in Software Engineering and Architecture and learn new technologies quickly
  • At least 2+ years of Software Development experience, ideally in Java Enterprise environments
  • Interest in combining coding with consulting, and ability to suggest new ideas
  • Professional appearance and good communication skills are important to us
  • Interest in quickly developing skills in modern integration tech stacks like Apache Camel, Talend, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, etc.
  • A good understanding of backend system development and willingness to sharpen your skills in enterprise technologies, cloud integration, and microservice deployments
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably, but not limited to, in Computer Science / Technical related fields, or we also welcome equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Willingness to travel for up to 50% of your time is required (contingent upon resuming safe travel)

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement complex middleware platforms and solutions for our customers to integrate our customer's enterprise software systems, cloud applications and apps
  • Develop scalable software and APIs with tech stacks like Java, Apache Camel, Elasticsearch, either on-premises, in the cloud or hybrid
  • Present technical ideas, high-level concepts and solutions to internal and external team members with different levels of technical knowledge
  • Take ownership of the project life cycle by creating integration solutions, and working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work on cloud-native integrations using, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes and more
