About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Software Developer for a 200+ FTE technical development program supporting the Sponsor’s Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM /ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes and Digital Policy Management. The Software Developer will work with a large team of developers, software engineers, and data engineers. The Developer will be part of a team of developers that are building a new application that utilizes LLM to convert data and access policies from a variety of sources and formats into a uniform format for compliance assessment. The Developer works closely with product owners, business analysts, and other teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The Developer will analyze and decompose complex software systems and create designs for scalability, testability, and performance. Our work rhythm revolves around the Scrum agile framework to deliver incremental enhancements on a 2-week cycle. Developers actively participate in planning deliverables and grooming the Jira backlog. We rely on team collaboration to continually fine tune performance and ensure clear communication. Developers also participate in a team rotation of O&M responsibilities: They are required to be on-call for after-hours support approximately one week every three months.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Master's degree
  • 15+ years of experience
  • Additional experience in lieu of degree

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to foundation AI models such as GPT
  • Familiarity with AI topics and concepts such as prompt engineering
  • Experience with AI libraries such as LangChain or others
  • Experience with DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and other relational or NoSQL database platforms
  • Understanding of Identity Access Management (IAM) Concepts
  • Experience with design patterns and best practices
  • Experience building microservices
  • Experience with integration testing frameworks
  • Documented open source contributions, technical certifications, continued education

Responsibilities

  • Develop Java and/or Python applications that leverages Large Language Model (LLM) API calls
  • Utilized Scrum agile techniques to manage workload and incrementally build out applications to meet customer requirements
  • Leverage Amazon Web Services
  • Experience creating RESTful API
  • Ability to write custom scripts to install and configure code in EC2 instances
  • Experience with defining system architectures and design of new features
  • Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, or Rundeck
  • Actively participate in planning deliverables and grooming the Jira backlog
  • Participate in a team rotation of O&M responsibilities
  • Be on-call for after-hours support approximately one week every three months
