About The Position

Develop and maintain software products and web applications in a Linux-based environment as part of the Smart Data team. The role focuses on processing large amounts of data, automating processes, and contributing to existing products and new solutions. The company provides subject-matter onboarding in its products, technologies, and processes, with opportunities for long-term development.

The position is flexible across Germany, with the option to work remotely nationwide or from one of the company's German offices. You will work closely with product management, the development team, and other stakeholders, and may support technical third-level support after onboarding.

Requirements

• Completed degree in computer science or business informatics, or comparable IT training.
• Experience in software development with Python, Perl, PHP, or comparable technologies.
• Good knowledge of Linux or Unix systems.
• Experience with relational databases such as MariaDB, MySQL, or MSSQL.
• Very good German and good English skills, spoken and written.
• Analytical thinking and a structured approach to technical challenges.
• Strong quality awareness and an independent working style.
• Team orientation, strong communication skills, and enjoyment of collaborative problem-solving.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of web applications, web services, or distributed system architectures.
• Initial experience with modern development processes and tools such as Git, CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• Interest in cloud and container technologies such as Azure, AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Openness to modern AI-assisted development tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Develop new software solutions and web applications and enhance existing ones in a Linux-based system environment.
• Develop and optimize data-processing and automation processes.
• Implement web and data-crawling solutions for automated data generation.
• Analyze business requirements with product management to estimate effort and create technical concepts.
• Develop scalable, robust, and maintainable software components.
• Design and enhance database structures and interfaces.
• Develop automated testing procedures to ensure software quality.
• Contribute to new product features and customer-specific solutions.
• Support technical third-level support after successful onboarding.
• Collaborate closely with product management, the development team, and other stakeholders.
• Continuously improve development processes, technologies, and system architectures.
