We are seeking a Software Developer - Mobile Apps (Flutter) to contribute to the development of our globe-spanning port management information system. This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented team, drive mobile innovation, and make a significant impact in the maritime industry through high-performance, cross-platform mobile solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development, with at least 1 year of hands-on experience using Flutter and Dart.
• Proven experience in developing and publishing mobile apps on both Android and iOS platforms.
• Familiarity with state management solutions such as Provider, Riverpod, or Bloc.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and working with backend systems.
• Proficient with Git for version control.
• Ability to bring wireframes and designs to life on mobile.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Successful applicants must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CI/CD for mobile app deployments and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Flutter Driver, integration_test).
• Understanding of cloud-connected apps and experience with Firebase, Azure, or similar platforms.
• Exposure to maritime, port operations, or logistics is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization and deployment workflows is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter.
• Ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience across Android and iOS platforms.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate mobile apps with microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Participate in architectural decisions to ensure scalable, maintainable, and secure mobile solutions.
• Stay current with mobile development best practices and emerging trends.
• Contribute to SCRUM processes and collaborate with global cross-functional teams to deliver agile solutions for maritime challenges.
