About The Position

Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute.

  • Network protocols: TCP/IP, DNC, DHCP, HTTPS, and NFS
  • DPDK-based network application development with binding PCIe devices
  • Storage stack
  • Firmware development in embedded systems
  • Hardware board bring-up
  • Core dump debugging with GDB
  • Linux kernel and driver programming
  • Virtualization technologies: Hypervisor (SR-IOV, Bare Metal – ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V, Proxmox, and OpenShift) and containers (LXC and Docker)
  • Network Layer-2 security protocol (MACsec)
  • Profiling of code, performance analysis and improving performance
  • Layer1 (PAM4 and NRZ), Layer 2-3, High speed ethernet 800G, 1.6T - 224 Gb/s Lane SerDes, IEEE P802.3df, and IEEE P802.3dj
  • PHY & HW (FPGA, I2C, SPI, and UART) interactions, AN/LT - Auto Negotiation/Link Training, and Local/Remote Fault signaling
  • Board Management Controller (BMC) and IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface)
  • Security compliance management: vulnerability scanning, fixing, and applying remediation and working with third-party vendor code to resolve known issues
