About The Position

This is a backfill opportunity for a Senior level Software Development Engineer III position on the Amazon validation platform team in Nashville, Tennessee. The role requires a hands-on builder with expertise in backend/full-stack development, distributed systems, AWS, and a strong understanding of risk and compliance. The ideal candidate will have AI/LLM exposure, be able to ramp up quickly, and take ownership of production systems. The team is looking for someone who can ship fast and has experience with end-to-end ownership and production reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Ship fast (hands-on builder)
  • Backend/full-stack development using Python, Java, and TypeScript
  • Design and implement distributed systems on AWS
  • Apply a risk/compliance mindset focusing on accuracy and auditability
  • Leverage AI/LLM technologies
  • Take end-to-end ownership of features and production systems
  • Optimize system performance, including DynamoDB and caching
  • Implement and manage event-driven architectures
  • Monitor systems using CloudWatch, participate in on-call rotations, and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Debug, fix, and prevent production issues
  • Validate AI/LLM outputs
