About The Position
This role involves driving the architecture and design of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services. The engineer will translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications for robust, scalable, and supportable solutions. This position serves as a technical lead throughout the entire development lifecycle, from scoping and design to implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance. Responsibilities include providing design reviews for other engineers, offering feedback on architecture, design, integration, performance, and scalability, and managing resources across multiple technical projects to align schedules, milestones, and priorities with business goals.
Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered, or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related occupation.
- One year of experience in providing technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
- One year of experience in designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems or services using: Object Oriented Design, distributed programming, and C#, C++, or Java.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture and design of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems and services using object-oriented design, distributed programming, Java and C/C++.
- Gather business and functional requirements from external and/or internal customers and end-users, and translate requirements into technical specifications to build robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well between a range of complex systems.
- Serve as technical lead throughout the full development lifecycle, end-to-end, from scoping, planning, conception, design, implementation and testing, to documentation, delivery and maintenance.
- Provide design reviews for other engineers, including feedback on architecture and design issues, as well as integration, performance and scalability.
- Manage resources on multiple technical projects and ensure schedules, milestones, and priorities are compatible with technology and business goals.
