About The Position

Amazon Studios LLC is seeking a Software Dev Engineer II for multiple positions in Culver City, CA. This role involves designing, developing, implementing, testing, and documenting embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services. The engineer will translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, and supportable solutions within the overall system architecture, participating in the full development cycle from design to maintenance. The position also includes producing comprehensive software documentation, evaluating new and existing software products/tools, and mentoring junior development engineers. Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
  • One year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • One year of experience in designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • One year of experience in Object Oriented Design.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, test, and document embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems and services.
  • Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
  • Participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance.
  • Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation.
  • Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools.
  • Mentor junior development engineers.
  • Work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff.
  • Adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies.
