The work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM). USSTRATCOM is one of eleven Combatant Commands, and is responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. The Strategic Command Information Technology Lifecycle Support (SCITLS) contract supporting USSTRATCOM’s J6 is a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments. You will play a crucial role in providing support in the following areas: Establish, maintain, and reconcile comprehensive software inventory records of all active, inactive, and deployed software installations across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and Top Secret-Collateral environments, ensuring consistent alignment with active entitlement baselines and procurement records. Understanding of the complete software asset lifecycle. As requested, and in an auxiliary capacity, assist the SCITLS Procurement Team by inputting entitlement data within the ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) module and/or Flexera database, ensuring system records reflect verified physical receipts. Analyze software usage data, spending trends, and vendor product roadmaps within the SAM platform to help identify opportunities for cost optimization, license consolidation, and value-driven service offerings. Understand the differences in software entitlements are licensed between OEMs. Audit software inventories by software discovery tools (e.g., ServiceNow—SAM and/or Flexera), and software asset repositories to ensure compliance of software entitlements. Compile presentations of audit findings to inform and present to the Asset Management Lead, SCMM, and Government stakeholders. Interact and professionally exhibit customer service skills and be able to present a positive approach with customers, peers, suppliers, and supervisors. Perform all other duties as assigned.
