About The Position

The Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst is responsible for managing the lifecycle of hardware and software assets across Northbridge Financial Corporation, including acquisition, inventory tracking, utilization, compliance, optimization, and disposal. This role maintains accurate asset and licensing records, monitors software usage, and ensures compliance with vendor agreements and corporate policies. Working closely with IT, Procurement, Finance, Security, and business stakeholders, the SAM Analyst supports software audits, contract renewals, asset reporting, and governance initiatives. The successful candidate will help identify cost-saving opportunities, reduce compliance risk, improve asset visibility, and ensure the organization maximizes the value of its technological investments through effective asset management practices.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (i.e. Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of Software Asset Management experience (or equivalent experience for senior roles).
  • Experience with Flexera is a requirement.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models, vendor agreements, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing major software vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, SAP, VMware, or Salesforce.
  • Experience conducting software compliance reviews.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
