About The Position

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Software Architect to design, develop, and modernize data infrastructure and application architecture. The role leads the development of scalable, resilient ETL processes; modernizes applications across multi-cloud environments; and integrates AI/ML capabilities into core systems. The architect collaborates with cross-functional teams and provides technical mentorship to support innovative, secure, and efficient software solutions. The position also focuses on improving performance and scalability, designing reliable data storage for large datasets, and ensuring security, compliance, and operational excellence. An active Top Secret security clearance is required.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience as a Software Architect.
Experience with Java, Python, and building RESTful APIs.
Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data manipulation and querying.
Understanding of data warehouse databases such as Amazon Redshift and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL.
Hands-on ETL and data processing experience.
Experience with at least one major cloud service provider: AWS, Azure, OCI, or Google Cloud.
Expertise in cloud-agnostic deployments using Terraform and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
US work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Track record of leading technical initiatives, mentoring development teams, and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed systems.
Familiarity with cloud billing data structures and processing.
Experience with large language models (LLMs) and their application in enterprise environments.
Knowledge of FINOPS tools for multi-cloud cost optimization and visualization.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of scalable, resilient billing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Improve architecture by decoupling services, promoting modular and functional code, and evaluating modern ETL workflows.
Lead modernization of application architecture, optimizing performance and scalability across multi-cloud environments.
Integrate advanced AI capabilities, including MCP servers, into core application functionality and insights.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Define and implement architectural patterns and software development best practices.
Ensure the team follows coding standards.
Collaborate with product management, engineering teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Oversee design and implementation of data storage solutions for optimal performance, scalability, and reliability with large datasets.
Ensure software systems meet security, compliance, and operational excellence requirements.
