About The Position

Leidos is seeking a software applications developer to support a dynamic and exciting software development program. This position will be part of a team of application developers supporting multiple projects, including high-profile, high-visibility projects offering technical learning opportunities. Most projects are cloud-based and support multiple mission partners. The ideal candidate will have AWS experience developing for the cloud, including complete secure cloud integrations, optimizing cloud connectivity, and managed cloud services. This position is located in Northern Virginia and does not require travel. An active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required to be considered.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
Must have a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance to be considered.
Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and front-end frameworks including Angular, Vue, and React.
Experience with Python, Java and/or Node.
Experience with Rest API development.
Experience with Serverless Application Development.
Working knowledge of AWS services, specifically: RDS (MySQL), DynamoDB, Lambda, and Open Search.
Working knowledge of Automation Tools, specifically: Cloud Formation, Jenkins, and CDK.
Comfortable operating in a Linux development environment.
Comfortable utilizing VSCode.
Excited about tackling unfamiliar tech stacks and adapting quickly to new tools and challenges.

Responsibilities

Develop web applications using Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, and/or Angular (ServiceNow and Salesforce skills are desirable skill sets to support emerging technology).
Work with the overall program team in the design and development of new applications as well as integrating new solutions on existing applications.
Analyze and solve complex application development needs to identify solutions, including potential new tools/technologies.
Demonstrate commanding knowledge of JavaScript software development principles and be energized by the capability to learn and implement new skills.
Be proficient in web application development, including troubleshooting and software upgrades.
Develop products and/or services that reside in development, test, and production AWS environments.
Experience working in a DevOps environment developing within an Agile environment using code delivery mechanisms, such as Maven, Ant, continuous build systems such as Jenkins, Nitro, Git, and code repositories such as Subversion.
