About The Position

Kimley-Horn is looking for and Entry-Level Software Analyst to join our Phoenix, AZ office in 2027. This is not a remote position. Responsibilities include participating as a member of a project team on a variety of development projects, working with team members and business partners to determine project requirements and enhancements based on business and user needs, developing applications and creative solutions based on project requirements, and applying bug fixes and enhancements to existing solutions. The role also involves implementing and supporting applications post deployment and quickly evaluating bugs, and applying hot fixes to resolve issues. The analyst will also research new and innovative development technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as MS SQL Server or Oracle
  • Self-starter who works well with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of related work experience or internship(s), preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft ecosystem, preferred
  • Full stack web development experience building applications (HTML5, CSS3, .NET, C#, JavaScript, and SQL)
  • Common software design patterns (MVC)
  • RESTful APIs (.NET)
  • JavaScript libraries (jQuery, Kendo UI)
  • Relational database design (Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Cloud application development (Azure)
  • Responsive website design (Bootstrap)
  • Modern web development frameworks (Angular, React, Vue)
  • NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB)

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of a project team on a variety of development projects
