Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of soft mill CNC machining experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mold components
  • Understanding of heat-treating allowances
  • Strong blueprint reading skills
  • Possession of a valid Journeymen’s license
  • Programming experience

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines (vertical or horizontal)
  • Machine components prior to heat-treatment
  • Maintain stock allowances for finishing
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Adjust machining parameters
  • Verify material removal and stock conditions
  • Stop working for discrepancies
  • Rough and semi-finish machine components
  • Perform in-process inspections
  • Maintain tooling and fixtures
  • Document work performed
