About The Position
We are seeking a Social Worker for our Surgical Oncology unit. Experience a place where your discipline is immensely respected. Utilize your inpatient experience to provide a variety of psychosocial services, coordinate discharge planning and continuum of care for patients and families from across the world. Assist them in enhancing their capabilities of coping with illness and daily functioning. Here, you’ll experience all the reasons why you entered such a rewarding field. The is a full time day shift position working M-F 8am - 4pm.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- New York State License as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW)
- At least one year of inpatient experience
- Experience in Surgical units
- All roles require on-site presence
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP
Responsibilities
- Provide a variety of psychosocial services
- Coordinate discharge planning and continuum of care for patients and families
- Assist patients and families in enhancing their capabilities of coping with illness and daily functioning
