About The Position

Join UT Health Tyler as a full-time, day-shift Social Worker (MSW) Case Manager in Tyler, Texas. The role coordinates patient care and services, promotes quality care and effective resource utilization, and provides leadership within the interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-care and resource outcomes. The Social Worker assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates services in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members, and provides therapeutic counseling to patients, families or significant others, and team members to support coping and functional skills.

UT Health Tyler is the system’s flagship hospital, serving hundreds of thousands of people annually. Its midtown location includes a Level I trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program, and a Level III NICU. The medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work.
• Licensed by the State of Texas or able to obtain licensure within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of acute care experience.
