About The Position

This is a temporary travel assignment for a Social Worker specializing in Medical Social Work. The role is based in Devens, MA, and is for a 13-week contract. The position is in an inpatient behavioral health/acute care setting and requires 40 guaranteed hours per week on a day shift. The weekly pay is estimated between $1,902 and $2,032.

Requirements

Active MA LCSW/LICSW or LMHC license or eligibility
Clinical Master’s Degree (MSW) required
CANS Certification within 30 days of hire
Proficiency with Electronic Health Records
Willingness to float to similar or lower acuity units and to work holidays/weekends as needed

Nice To Haves

Prior inpatient behavioral health or acute care experience preferred
Medsphere/Vista experience preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect clinical social work services as part of a multidisciplinary care team, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and direct care staff.
Administer biopsychosocial assessments, participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning, coordinate case management, and provide individual and family therapy.
Develop, implement, and document discharge planning and aftercare strategies to support safe transitions and community supports.
Support care coordination by liaising with insurance providers, patients and families, hospital teams, and external community resources.
Maintain thorough documentation in the electronic health record; perform risk and safety assessments as part of ongoing care.
Contribute to treatment planning by incorporating patient strengths and psychiatric considerations to guide interventions and continuity of care across settings.
