About The Position

Saint Luke's East Hospital is seeking a licensed Social Worker to join our team! This role is responsible and accountable for the assessment of psychological, social, emotional, cultural, and financial needs, and the resulting treatment that impacts patients' health and recovery. The Social Worker provides professional social work services that utilize clinical knowledge to address the needs of patients and families during illness, crisis intervention, and post-acute discharge planning. This role collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to develop transition plans and address needs in a timely manner. Additionally, the Social Worker participates in program planning and development to meet the needs of customers within the entity, health system, and community.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)
  • Knowledge of theory and practice of social work at the MSW level and have basic research skills
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and with patients of various ages and cultural backgrounds
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Certified LMSW or LCSW required in Missouri
  • 1 year of applicable experience
  • Licensed Masters Social Worker (MO) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
  • Master's Degree - Social Work

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting (i.e., hospital, home health or nursing home)
