The Social Work department provides emotional support and counseling to children and their families. They provide crisis intervention services, help with adjustment issues, grief and loss counseling, mental health assessments, case coordination, community advocate support, and short-term therapeutic interventions. We are seeking a Clinical Social Worker, Part-Time .8 FTE, to provide care and service in our Cancer and Blood Disorders Clinic. This role will also follow patients who are hospitalized, through their journey of care. At times, this work may include end of life care. The Social Worker is part of a robust multidisciplinary team, providing clinical support to patients and families during a new diagnosis, and as they navigate health systems. We are rooted in trauma informed care, and health equity.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work required.
  • Experience providing crisis intervention.
  • Two years experience with counseling in a health care related setting or two years experience in a pediatric related setting or completion of graduate internship in either of the above settings.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to provide good, clear documentation of work.
  • Minnesota State LGSW, LICSW preferred
