About The Position

The Social Worker performs medical social work services for admitted patients and emergency room patients. The position provides social work services across hospital units, including medical-surgical units, critical care, and the emergency department. Assignments to NICU or OB may depend on experience. Resource Management typically covers units with approximately 40–50 beds each. The employee will not work alone. Orientation is tailored to the individual and generally lasts three days to one week with a staff member. Business-casual dress is required.

Requirements

• Master of Social Work (MSW) required.
• Two to three years of experience.
• EPIC experience or familiarity is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical social work services to admitted patients and emergency room patients.
• Float to units throughout the hospital to provide social work services, including medical-surgical units, critical care, and the emergency department; NICU or OB assignments may depend on experience.
