About The Position

As a Temporary Social Worker at the Aaron School, you will play a key role in supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral development within a structured and inclusive learning environment. Working closely with students, families, teachers, and outside providers, you will help create individualized support that promote student success both in and out of the classroom.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience working with school-aged students, preferably in a special education setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively with families, staff, and outside providers
  • Knowledge of behavioral interventions, counseling techniques, and student support services
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong organization and documentation practices

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and small-group counseling services and establish therapeutic goals for students on your caseload.
  • Serve as Case Manager by maintaining parent communication, coordinating with outside providers, and supporting families through training and guidance.
  • Develop and implement counseling lessons, including planning and facilitating Connection Time.
  • Collaborate with classroom teams to provide behavioral strategies, classroom support, and push-in counseling services.
  • Participate in team meetings, maintain documentation, and support the overall counseling program and shared school environment.
