About The Position

This is a casual position for an Inpatient BHU at Hillsdale Hospital. The work schedule is determined by need, generally involving 1.5 to 3 hours at a time, including Saturdays and Sundays, with 1 to 2 weekends per month.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited master’s degree program, school of social work and/or school of counseling
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of social work and/or counseling required
• Adherence to the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics and/or counseling equivalent is necessary
• Effective communication in relation to medical and other staff, both verbally and in writing
• Must obtain Certified Social Worker (CSW) or equivalent, from the State of Michigan within two years
• BLS, TEAMS and other hospital required training required (available at Hillsdale Hospital)

Nice To Haves

• One year of full-time experience as a clinical social worker preferred
• A minimum of six months of experience in a psychiatric setting preferred
• Experience to include individual, group, and family therapy
• Experience in writing psychosocial assessments and treatment plans preferred

Responsibilities

• Attending treatment team meetings
• Providing group psychotherapy
