Also precepts new employees through the orientation process and mentors existing employees to enhance their professional development. Responsibilities include involvement with special projects upon assignment.

Requirements

LMSW license by the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners.
Internal promotion requires recommendation of Director with consideration of employee’s service excellence skills, overall professional expertise, appearance, behavior and the respect of fellow employees and physicians.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 5 years Social Work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Completes pre-discharge evaluations from patient/family interviews and healthcare team collaborations.
Based on evaluation, develops a viable plan of intervention for current needs and potential discharge needs with consideration of illness/injury, living situation, support systems and financial status.
Contributes to department’s ongoing professional enhancement thru role of preceptor and mentor and participation with assigned special projects.
